About Us

Guess what?

We were traders, just like you are.  It just so happens, that we are also CPAs.  Over the years, we have given advice to so many fellow traders we meet in various chatrooms, that when someone suggested: "Why don't you just start doing traders' returns?"  it seemed like such an obvious thing to do.

Accountant is an accountant... right??

We are AICPA members

AICPA Code of Professional Conduct

On any given day, you will find us in a number of free and paid trading chatrooms, chatting with fellow traders, and occasionally giving online tax classes and tips.  Most jobs around the house require a specialized tool.  You can't tighten that dripping faucet with a screwdriver.  Why should you not get a trading CPA to do your tax return?

We know the rules, we've applied them to our own trades.  We are licensed, we are experienced, and we are here to help you.

We are members of the AICPA.  Our actions reflect our commitment to the Code of Professional Conduct at all times.

We are also members of the National Association of Tax Practioners.  We attend their workshops to get the latest tax information, and we also have available to us the association's tax research team.

Some excerpts from our professional lives, before trading and starting this website:

Bob has been working in the industry since the late Sixties.  For the last 7 years, he has worked as a CPA for a local accounting firm, specializing in tax work.  He was also a part-time accounting instructor at a local college.  He trades in his spare time.

Simona's background covers both Canada and the U.S. (CGA designation is the Canadian equivalent of CPA).  Before moving to the U.S. almost 10 years ago, she was a CFO for a hazardous waste management company.  Since relocating to the U.S., she has earned her CPA and has traded her own account.

While we might utilize other staffers' help in compiling your data, your income tax return will always be finalized by Bob Meany, CPA, licensed in the state of Illinois.
